For participants under the age of 18, the parent or guardian, by acknowledging the terms of this registration, also consents to the release and he or she or they agrees that this release shall be binding upon him or her or they as the parent or guardian as to registrant and their estate, heirs, personal representatives and assigns. The parent or guardian also promises, by signing by completing this form to defend, indemnify and hold Big Bear Retreat Center harmless from any claim asserted by participant against Insight Adventures LLC, including its owners, officers, employees, agents, consultants, and/or advisors. If participant should repudiate this release after obtaining adulthood. |

| I acknowledge that I have voluntarily agreed to visit Big Bear Retreat Center in Big Bear, CA.
I realize that all activities at Big Bear Retreat Center are voluntary and entirely at my discretion. These may include activities such as a daily programming, work periods, movement classes, nature walks, and other programming. I am also aware that this retreat will take place in a rural / wilderness setting, at a 7,000 foot elevation, and that there may be risks involved in hiking in this terrain. I hereby assume all risks of injury to me and my property that may be sustained in connection with activities undertaken while at this retreat.
I will not hold or attempt to hold Big Bear Retreat Center or any of its Owners, Officers, Employees, Agents, Consultants, and/or Advisors, liable for any loss, damage or injury to person or property caused by any act or neglect of other persons on or about the property, or caused in any manner other than the willful misconduct of Big Bear Retreat Center, its agents and employees, and will indemnify and hold Big Bear Retreat Center and its Owners, Officers, Employees, Agents, Consultants, and/or Advisors harmless from any liability for damages or claims against Big Bear Retreat Center or its Owners, Officers, Employees, Agents, Consultants, and/or Advisors arising out of or in any way related to any such loss, damage or injury.
I release Big Bear Retreat Center, including its owners, officers, employees, agents, consultants, and/or advisors from my physical injury, including death, or illness while at the property. I will assume the risk associated therewith, whether known or unknown to me at this time. This release is also intended to include all claims of my family, estate, heirs, personal representatives or assigns.
COVID-19: The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people. Big Bear Retreat Center has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, BBRC cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, visiting BBRC could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and/or I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by visiting BBRC and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at BBRC may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, BBRC employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at BBRC. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless BBRC its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of BBRC, its Owners, Officers, Employees, Agents, Consultants, and/or Advisors, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any BBRC program. |
